Timber
Pile Design & Installation
When time is money, Hoidas
Engineering can save you both.
The last thing a builder or
homeowner wants to hear is
that a standard depth foundation
will not provide proper support
for a new home and an engineered
deep foundation system is required. Hoidas
Engineering can provide a total
turnkey timber pile
foundation system.
This includes the engineered
design, installation of timber
piles and soil certification
for the county building inspections
department.
When the use of concrete caissons
is not economical or feasible,
Hoidas Engineering can provide
a timber pile deep
foundation system. This type
of deep foundation system consists
of the installation of timber
piles (long treated southern
yellow pine poles) and reinforced
footings. This will
extend the footing support
through deeper layers of unsuitable
bearing soils down to the soils
that can provide the required
support needed. This
type of foundation is used
when the approximate depth
to suitable soils extends below
10 to 12 feet and/or if excessive
ground water is present.
While on-site installing a
concrete caissons deep foundation
system, Hoidas Engineering
has the capabilities and expertise
to install timber piles, if
it is determined that timber
piles are the better alternative
due to the actual encountered
soil and ground water conditions. This
will reduce down time for re-engineering
and remobilization of a timber
pile installation
company, which can takes weeks. Soil
conditions do vary on-site
and need to be evaluated during
the construction operation. The
use of Hoidas Engineering can
save you time and money. |
